Wales Unveils Upgraded Perth Facility, Marking a New Era for Heavy Vehicle Repair in WA

Perth, 28 March 2025 – Wales Heavy Vehicle Repairs has officially unveiled its newly rebranded and upgraded Wales Perth site, following its transformation from the long[1]established Parins facility.

Part of the AMA Group since 2018, the Perth site has been a trusted name in heavy vehicle repairs across Western Australia. The transition to the Wales brand represents a strategic step in consolidating AMA Group’s heavy vehicle operations under a single national identity — unifying its service offering across key locations in NSW, QLD, VIC, and WA.

The official unveiling marks the completion of a major upgrade program designed to deliver faster turnaround times, greater repair capacity, and a superior customer experience.

Wales Perth Site Highlights:

  • Over 10,000 sqm under roof, with a reconfigured layout to improve workflow, vehicle access, and throughput.
  • Significantly expanded the production and preparation area, increasing usable workshop space by 35% and enabling higher repair volumes.
  • Two industry-leading Hi-Bake truck spray booths with integrated Wallman systems, enhancing safety and paint process efficiency while optimising previously unused space.
  • Modern double-sided preparation wall, allowing parallel job staging and reducing bottlenecks in the repair process.
  • End-to-end in-house repair capability, including laser chassis alignment, fibreglass repair, fabrication, and auto electrical services — minimising delays and ensuring consistent quality.
  • Customer-first amenities, including a spacious lounge, workshop viewing area, and a dedicated design studio for custom builds and fleet presentation work.
  • Onsite City Truck and Trailer Parts store, ensuring rapid access to parts and reducing repair cycle times.

Investing in People and Performance

As part of the Wales Perth upgrade, the business is now actively seeking to fill 20 new production roles, including opportunities for apprenticeships and skilled trades in the region. The expanded workforce will support increased site efficiency, higher vehicle throughput, and projected turnover growth of more than 20%.

“The unveiling of Wales Perth is more than a new name — it’s a bold step forward in how we deliver quality, speed, and service to our customers,” said Martin Dickinson, General Manager of Wales. “This rebrand unifies our national presence and reinforces our commitment to keeping Australia’s heavy vehicle industry moving.”

With the Perth launch now complete, Wales Heavy Vehicle Repairs continues to strengthen its national footprint — building a reputation as Australia’s leading provider of heavy collision repair services across four states.
